The reunion weekend in September kicked off with a guided tour of the University of Michigan stadium and it was a blast! Ninety minutes of truly amazing stories and visits to some of the coolest sections of the stadium, including down to the field through the tunnel, which is steeper than anyone knew.

In the UM team locker room, we heard a recording of Bo Schembechler making good on a bold prediction when he arrived at Michigan in 1969 that quickly became true (“Those who stay will be champions”). And Bob Ufer in his imitable way calling one of the great plays in Wolverine memory of Anthony Carter making a winning touchdown to break a tie in the last 6 seconds of the 1969 homecoming game against Indiana.

We have a picture of Carol Martin and her husband, George Daley, listening to Bob Ufer, and Nancy Schweitzer Potter trying on a helmet. That’s 6 pounds on your head, by the way.

Here's who was there: Bob CarowCarol Martin and George Daley, Nancy McArtor and Tim Williams, Ann MunsterCherie Olson MajorAnn Ratliff BernardChris Rettich Wilcox and Don Wilcox, Nancy Schweitzer PotterDennis Teeter and Sally Teeter, and Nancy White Paul.
