Monique Scanio Doherty, back to her Swiss roots

Monique recently returned from a Viking River Cruise down the Rhine from Amsterdam to Basel, Switzerland, traveling with her brothers and cousins. There, they drove to an ancestral family home near Geneva for a family reunion. Monique’s mother was a Swiss native whose family name was Maulbetsch and was related to Johnny Maulbetsch, an All-American football halfback who played for the UM Wolverines. The family name was visible on an Ann Arbor Farmer's Market fruit and vegetable stand for decades.
